Good Friday Prayer Of Love For The Crucified Lord

O Jesus, it is not the promise of eternal joy that motivates my love for You, nor the fear of damnation that prevents me from sinning against You. It is You, dear Lord, the image of You nailed to the Cross, enduring mockery; it is witnessing Your shattered form, filled with suffering and death. No gift can increase my love for You. Even without the existence of paradise or torment, my love for You would remain unchanged!
