Guardian Angel Prayer

O Holy Angel, guardian of my troubled soul and this afflicted life I lead, do not abandon me, a sinner, nor depart from me in my unsteadiness. Allow not the evil one to overwhelm me with the burdens of this earthly existence; rather, take my frail hand and guide me along the path of salvation. Indeed, O holy Angel of God, the guardian and defender of my unfortunate soul and body, forgive me all that I have done to cause you distress throughout my life, and especially for any sins I have committed today. Shield me during this night, protecting me from every assault of the enemy, so that I may not provoke God with my transgressions; and intercede for me with the Lord, that He may fortify me in reverence of Him and make me a faithful servant of His divine mercy.Amen.
