Hail, O Star of the sea, blessed Mother of God, ever pure Virgin, gate to heavenly peace. Receiving that sweet 'Ave' from Gabriel, confirm peace within us, transforming the name of Eve. Break the chains of sinners, illuminate our darkness, cast away all evils from us, and intercede for every blessing. Reveal yourself as our Mother, that the divine Word born of you may hear our supplications through you. Virgin without parallel, gentlest of the gentle, shield us from sin, keeping us humble and pure. Preserve our lives in innocence, ensure our path is safe until we find in Jesus eternal joy.
