Hail, Thou Star Of Ocean

Hail to you, O guiding star of the sea! Gateway to the heavens! Ever-virgin Mother of the Sovereign Lord! Oh! By the Angel's greeting, spoken ages ago, reversing Eve's name and establishing peace on earth. Break the chains of captives; pour forth light upon the blind, dispelling all our troubles, and asking for every joy. Reveal yourself as Mother, present our prayers to Him, who for our sake took flesh and held you in honor. O Virgin above all virgins! Take us into your loving care; most gentle one, make us gentle as you are. As we continue our pilgrimage, assist our feeble efforts; until we rejoice forever with you and Jesus. To the heights of heaven, let there be praise to the Almighty Trinity, Father, Son, and Spirit, sharing one glory.Amen.
