Holy Thursday Opening Prayer

Our Father in heaven, we have gathered to partake in the meal that your beloved Son entrusted to his Church as a manifestation of his love. He instituted it as he faced his passion and instructed us to observe it as the new and everlasting offering. We ask that through this Eucharist, we may receive the fullness of love and life. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.Amen.
