O Lord Jesus, in your desire that the fruits of your crucifixion be bestowed upon every generation, you established the renewal of your sacrifice on the altar. During the Last Supper, you instructed your apostles, saying: "Do this in remembrance of me." Through these words, you entrusted them and their successors with the sacred duty to consecrate and follow your example. I affirm that the Mass serves as both a sacrifice and a memorial, reenacting your suffering, death, and resurrection. Grant me the insight to understand that the Mass is not only the supreme gift from God to us but also our most precious offering to Him.
