Hymn For The Holy Souls

Lord, assist the souls You have created, those whom You hold so precious, who reside in purgatory, owing a debt from sins they committed in this life. These holy souls endure their anguish, accepting their trials with heart and spirit resigned, until Your divine command is fulfilled, and justice is completed. For the everyday failings, for sins confessed, they willingly endure the heaviness of Your glorious cross, bearing the remnants of Your suffering. Lord, assist the souls You have created, those whom You hold so precious, who reside in purgatory, owing a debt from sins they committed in this life. Oh, by their patience during this waiting, their hope amidst their suffering, their holy fervor to cleanse away all disfigurement and impurity; Oh, by their burning love, which is as fervent as any flame, Oh, by their utter vulnerability, Oh, by the greatness of Your Name, Good Jesus, grant Your assistance! Sweet Jesus, provide Your support to the souls most cherished by You, who are held in purgatory for the sins they owe from this life.
