The prayer
O Lord, when we were in need of refreshment, you provided us with drink; when we were in want, you nourished us with food. Now, we ask you to nourish our spirits with your sacred word and ensure it does not pass through us without transforming us, but rather fulfills all that your loving purpose intends; through Christ our Lord.Amen.
