Married Couple's Prayer To The Sacred Heart

O most Sacred Heart of Jesus, King and heart of all hearts, reside within us and rule our hearts; empower us through Your grace to love one another sincerely and chaste, just as You have cherished Your pure Bride, the Church, and offered Yourself for her. Grant us that mutual affection and Christian tolerance that please You greatly, alongside a united patience in enduring each other's shortcomings; we know that none among us is without faults. Shield us from allowing even the slightest deficiency to disturb the complete and gentle harmony of our spirits, the bedrock of our support through life’s varied challenges, which is the purpose for which woman was created and joined unbreakably to her husband. O Lord God, allow a holy competitiveness to exist between us towards a truly Christian life, through which the Divine likeness of Your mysterious unity with Your Holy Church may increasingly shine forth, as it was graciously impressed upon us on the significant day of our union. We request, dear Lord, that our exemplary Christian life may inspire our children to align their lives with Your holy commandments; and ultimately, after our time here, may we ascend to heaven, where, through Your grace, for which we earnestly plead, we may be united with our children eternally to glorify and bless You for all ages.Amen.
