Miscarriage Prayer

O Lord, the child is gone from us! Why, dear Lord, should I question this? This little one will not hear the gentle breeze or behold the beauty in their parents’ faces. They will not experience the wonder of Your creation or the brilliance of a new dawn. Why, dear Lord? "Why, My child, do you seek an answer? Let Me share with you the truth. The child does indeed live. Instead of the whisper of the wind, they hear the melodies of angels before My throne. Rather than fleeting beauty, they gaze upon eternal Beauty; they behold My face. Their time on earth was brief, yet the likeness of their parents is forever imprinted on their countenance to intercede for them in My presence. They possess secrets of heaven that earthly beings cannot fathom. They celebrate with a joy known only to the innocent. My ways transcend the ways of humanity. I make creations for My Kingdom, and each soul uniquely occupies a space in that Kingdom that no one else could fill. They were made for My delight and for the merits of their parents. They have never encountered pain or sin. They have never endured hunger or suffering. I breathed life into a seed, witnessed its growth, and called it forth.” I bow in humility before You, my Lord, for doubting Your wisdom, goodness, and love. In my foolishness I have spoken, forgive me. I accept Your sovereign authority over life and death. I am grateful for the brief life that commenced here to experience an Eternity filled with joy.
