Our Lady of Lourdes Novena - Day 9

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Ever Immaculate Virgin, Mother of Mercy, we call upon you as Health of the Sick, Refuge of Sinners, and Comfort to the Afflicted. You know my wants, my troubles, my sufferings. Deign to cast upon me a look of mercy. By appearing in the Grotto of Lourdes, you were pleased to make it a sanctuary whence you dispense your favors, and already many sufferers have obtained the cure of their infirmities, both spiritual and physical. I come, therefore, with the most unbounded confidence to implore your maternal intercession. Obtain, O loving Mother, the granting of my requests (mention request here…) Through gratitude for favors, I will endeavor to imitate your virtues that I may one day share your glory. Immaculate Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, to you we raise our hearts to implore your intercession in obtaining from the benign Heart of Jesus all the graces necessary for our spiritual and temporal welfare, particularly for the grace of a happy death. O Mother of our Divine Lord, graciously pray for us as we conclude this novena for the special favor we seek at this time. O star of purity, Mary Immaculate, Our Lady of Lourdes, glorious in your assumption, triumphant in your coronation, show unto us the mercy of thy Son. Virgin Mary, Queen and Mother, be our comfort, hope, strength, and consolation. Amen. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us. Saint Bernadette, pray for us. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette Soubirous eighteen times in Lourdes, France in 1858, just four years after the Pope had declared the Immaculate Conception to be dogma. Bernadette was a poor peasant girl, and many in her town disbelieved that the Virgin Mary had actually appeared to her. But Our Lady told Bernadette to dig in the grotto, and when she did a spring of water spilled forth. When people washed in the spring they received miraculous healings unexplainable by doctors. When Bernadette asked what the Lady’s name was, she answered “I am the Immaculate Conception.” Bernadette went on to enter the Sisters of Charity of Nevers, suffered a great deal physically, and died at just 35 years old. She was canonized in 1933. Prayers Answered Through Our Lady of Lourdes For me, it wasnt anything in particular I was praying during this novena. However, Last Thursday my daughter cut her hand by accident and she was 1 milimeter of hurting a nerve or tendon. The hand surgeon said it was a miracle. from V.S. Our Grandson Flynn was born 2/10/2020 with a critical heart defect. He coded 2 twice at 2 days old after a surgery…..he has 2 more surgeries before age 4. I prayered to Mother Mary every night. Doctors talked about heart transplant and all but we still prayed. My husband and I went to Lourdes and prayed constantly while there. Came back in October and used Mother Mary’s water on Flynn. FLYNN had a Doctor Appointment and my son in November was told things looked a little better. Well in January after some test they were told his heart is functioning normal and some medication might be able to stop. Now as he grows they say things could change but I say MARY CAME TO HIS RESCUE… SHE TALKED TO JESUS!!!! I know for sure. from E.K. Today on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes my husband finally tested negative for covid after experiencing a covid rebound! Thank you to Our Lady of Lourdes for obtaining this favor from her Son, Jesus! She is forever our loving Mother. “My husband and I experienced a healing from Lourdes water last year. My husband was diagnosed with spinal stenosis and was having difficulty getting around. We tried everything. He went to therapy, massage, and acupuncture. Out of the blue we remembered the Lourdes water in the hall closet, which we’ve had for many years from a trip my husband took. We bathed his back in the Lourdes water and he is free from pain and walking normally now.”
