Prayer After Holy Communion

Father, as we gather to celebrate this Eucharist, we affirm our belief in the resurrection of Christ. We recommit ourselves to the commandment of love and seek your forgiveness from the wellspring of mercy. Nourish us, Lord, with the sustenance of life as we journey forth. May the Bread of Heaven empower us; may the broken Body of Christ grant us healing; may the Spirit of the Risen Christ invigorate our youthful generosity; may the Sacred Heart of Jesus fill us with compassion; may the Crucified Christ of Calvary assist us in carrying our daily burdens. Bestow your blessings, Lord, upon your people: - Bless all gathered at this Eucharist; - Bless our neighbors and friends; - Bless those who trespass against us, as Jesus teaches us to pray; - Bless those who forgive, with grace from the Heart of Christ; - And grant eternal life to our cherished deceased, the faithful departed of our community, our nation, and all who have walked with You throughout history. We offer this prayer, as always, through Christ, our Lord. Amen. My Lord and God! A hundred thousand welcomes and thanks to You. Jesus, present within my soul, I adore You. I express my gratitude and love to You. I repent for the sins that have offended You. Help me to know, serve, and love You fully. Let me embrace and carry out Your will today. Stay with me through this day. Allow me to see others through Your eyes and to love them with Your heart, My Lord and my God.Amen.
