Prayer After Holy Communion

I humbly ask for Your blessing once again, dear Jesus, as I prepare to leave this sacred space where I've been so richly graced this morning. How wonderful is the taste of this heavenly Bread that I have received in communion! What joy it brings, how serene is the peace and perfect calm of a soul that welcomes You after truly mourning and confessing her sins! A thousand blessings upon You, O my Jesus! In my former state as a sinner, I was wretched; yet now I not only find the deepest peace within my heart, but it feels as if I am catching a glimpse of the joy and serenity of heaven! Truly, my heart has been created for You, my dear Lord, and knows no true joy apart from resting in You. I offer my gratitude; I resolve earnestly to steer clear of sin and the situations that lead to it; I shall reside continually in Your Divine Heart, from which I hope to receive the grace to love You until my last breath.
