Prayer Before Holy Communion

Come, O cherished Savior, and feed my soul with your heavenly nourishment, the sustenance that holds all sweetness and joy. Come, Bread of Angels, and fulfill the yearning of my spirit. Come, radiant Source of Love, and ignite in my heart the fire of divine affection. Come, Light of the World, and illuminate the shadows of my understanding. Come, King of Kings, and guide me to be compliant with your sacred will. Come, compassionate Savior, and instill in me a spirit of humility and gentleness. Come, Friend of the Afflicted, and mend the weaknesses of my body and spirit. Come, Good Shepherd, my Lord and my Everything, and draw me close to you. O most holy Mother, Mary Immaculate, prepare my heart to welcome my Savior.
