Prayer Before Studying

O Infinite Creator, You are rightly acknowledged as the source of all light and wisdom, and the supreme origin exalted above all creation. Illuminate my mind with a ray of Your brilliance; drive away the dual darkness that clouds my spirit: sin and ignorance. You give voice to the young and unlearned. Purify my words and bestow upon my lips the richness of Your grace. Grant me clarity of thought, the ability to recall, an aptitude for learning, insight for interpretation, and fluency in expression. May You oversee the initiation of my endeavors, guide their development, and lead them to their fruitful conclusion. You who embody both true God and true Man, who reign eternally.Amen.
