O God, You who cherish every soul, You care for all of creation, for it belongs to You. Look with compassion upon Your servant (Name), and through the sacrifice of the cross, grant forgiveness for any sins and shortcomings he/she may have. Remember the faith of those who grieve, and comfort their hearts with the hope of the resurrection, when all things will be restored in Christ, our risen Savior, who lives and reigns with You eternally.Amen.
