Prayer For Loving Others

Lord, make me a vessel of Your love. Help me recognize every situation in my life as a chance to deepen my love for You. May I view my surroundings as a space to cultivate this same love. Allow me to share this love with those around me. When I face the temptation of impatience, guide me to be patient. When I feel the urge to be unkind, lead me to choose kindness. If I struggle with jealousy, grant me a spirit of tolerance. In times of pride or boastfulness, inspire me to give You the glory. When rudeness or selfishness arises, bless me with a gentle heart. If I feel offended, help me to release my grievances. When anger threatens to take hold, grant me the grace of forgiveness. If resentment creeps in, empower me to love with Your strength. Lord, may I find no joy in criticizing others, but rather recognize the good in them, as You do. When I dwell on the faults of others, give me the courage to celebrate their successes. Help me remain steadfast and loyal to those You have entrusted to me. May I believe in them, even when they falter in their self-belief. Let me anticipate the best from them, while accepting their limitations. Always may I defend them, just as You defend me. For all gifts and abilities flow from You and will eventually fade, except for the profound gift of love. Lord, in my youth, I thought and behaved childishly. But as I mature, I release those childish ways.
