Prayer For Palm Sunday And Holy Week

(This prayer is intended for families to say before a Crucifix on Palm Sunday and during Holy Week.) Mother or a child: Dearly beloved, during Holy Week, when the profound sufferings of our Lord Jesus Christ are presented to us in the liturgy, the Church calls us to approach Calvary and walk in the footsteps of our Divine Redeemer marked by His blood, to willingly bear the Cross alongside Him, to cultivate in our hearts His spirit of sacrifice and reconciliation, and to unite ourselves with His death. Father: We should take pride in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ Family: through whom we find our salvation, life, and resurrection. Father: Let us pray. Almighty, eternal God, You have chosen to present humanity with a model of humility; your Son embraced our humanity, and submitted Himself to the Cross. Grant us the grace to hold steadfastly to the lessons He imparted to us through His Passion and to partake in His resurrection. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son. Family: Amen. Bless this home, Lord, with Your presence. Keep all evil forces at bay, and let Your holy angels dwell here, to safeguard us in peace. May Your blessing rest upon us always.
