Prayer For Peace

O Lord, God of peace, you who created humanity as the focus of your affection, inviting us to share in your glory, we praise and thank you for sending us your beloved Son, Jesus. He embodies the mystery of the Passover, is the architect of our salvation, the fountain of true peace, and the unifier of all humanity. We express our gratitude for the yearning, initiatives, and achievements your peace-giving Spirit has inspired in our time: transforming hatred into love, suspicion into understanding, and indifference into compassion. Enlarge our hearts to be more responsive to the needs of our brothers and sisters, enabling us to better cultivate genuine peace. Gracious Father, remember all who endure suffering, who bear pain and face death in pursuit of a more fraternal world. For people of every race and language, may your kingdom arrive: a realm of justice, peace, and love; may the earth be filled with your glory.Amen.
