O Almighty and Eternal God, look upon your Son's countenance, and for love of him, who is the Eternal High Priest, take compassion on your priests. Remember, O God of great mercy, that they are mere fragile beings. Awaken within them the grace of their calling, bestowed through the laying on of hands by their bishop. Keep them near to you, lest the adversary overcomes them, so that they may refrain from any action unworthy of their exalted mission.
