Prayer For Priests By St Therese Of The Child Jesus

What a wonderful calling we hold! We are to preserve the flavor of the earth! We present our prayers and sacrifices for the apostles of our Lord; we are to be their own apostles, as they bring the Good News to our brethren through both their words and their lives. To live for love, O divine Lord, is to implore You to ignite with passion the hearts of all Your priests and Yourself. May they gain seraphic purity. Safeguard Your Church, for I am her child. I offer my life to You. Is it sufficient? I beseech You, gentle and compassionate One. I live for love. I wish for the souls of priests to shine clearly and brightly like stars. Each one of them should be witnessed by angels, even before ascending to the altar. To bestow such a miracle upon us, O God, we pray a rosary. We implore before the tabernacle, on our knees, both night and day. As pure as the sacred Host may Your priests be, these few chosen ones. Their lives are to be seen by all the world; they are Your friends who teach us in the pew. May they carry out their noble ministry at the Eucharist and in their frequent preaching. Accept me into Your divine plan as a victim for Your harvest.
