Prayer For The Elderly

Heavenly Father, as I grow older and my strength wanes, I ask you to hold me tight with Your mighty grace. Help me to avoid any actions that may displease You and to continuously deepen my love for You. Grant me the vigor to serve You faithfully until my life's end. Instill in me a profound aversion to venial sins or anything that might diminish Your love for me throughout the day. At night, draw me near to Your Sacred Heart. If I should pass away before dawn, may I do so filled with joy, gazing upon the splendor of Your utmost beauty, forever united with You.Amen.
