Prayer For The Feast Of Corpus Christi

Throughout the seasons, O Jesus, You remain humbly concealed within the tabernacle, waiting, welcoming, and listening to the souls who approach You in search of solace and comfort amid their grief, guidance, and strength through life's difficulties. Yet, on this special day, You emerge from Your quiet solitude, parading in glory and blessing through the streets and squares of our cities amidst a spectacle of lights and melodies, incense and flowers, surrounded by joyful crowds who kneel in reverence before You. In the synagogue at Capharnaum, the unfaithful crowd turned away, rejecting Your words of faith and love; but in the Upper Room that final evening of Your earthly journey, as the shadows of betrayal loomed over Your sorrowful spirit, You transformed Your divine promise into reality, establishing the Holy Eucharist as a living remembrance of the boundless love that filled Your Heart for humanity. Through this sacred Sacrament, You intended to extend Your presence in the world until the end of time; and the souls of men, gathered at Your heavenly feast, would experience the sweet illumination of Your grace and the indescribable joys of Your love. O Jesus, help me sense the deep draw of Your quiet tabernacle, which has always attracted not only the humble but has continually been the delight of noble and pure souls. Grant me a vibrant faith and fervent love for You hidden in the sacramental forms, that I may often approach Your table, where the “Bread of Life” awaits, to receive the seed of a life that endures forever.Amen.
