Prayer For The Gifts Of The Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, Divine Comforter, I worship You as my true God, alongside God the Father and God the Son. I join my adoration with that which You receive from the angels and saints. I offer You my heart and express my heartfelt gratitude for all the graces You continually grant me. O Bestower of all supernatural gifts, who filled the soul of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God, with unfathomable favors, I implore You to come to me with Your grace and love, and to bless me with the gift of holy fear, that it may help me resist returning to my previous sins, for which I seek Your mercy. Bestow upon me the gift of piety, that I may serve You with renewed zeal, respond swiftly to Your divine inspirations, and adhere more faithfully to Your commandments. Confer upon me the gift of knowledge, so that I may understand the matters of God, guided by Your holy teachings, and walk steadfastly on the path to everlasting salvation. Grant me the gift of courage, so that I may valiantly face all temptations and threats to my soul's salvation posed by the devil and this world. Bestow upon me the gift of counsel, enabling me to select what promotes my spiritual growth and to recognize the tricks and traps laid by the tempter. Grant me the gift of understanding, that I might grasp the divine mysteries, and through meditation on heavenly realities, detach my heart from the fleeting distractions of this world. Impart to me the gift of wisdom, so that I may rightly govern all my actions, dedicating them to God as my ultimate purpose; that having loved and served Him in this life, I may enjoy the bliss of being united with Him forever in the next.Amen.
