The prayer
Heavenly Father, Shepherd and Guide, intimate your gaze of love upon Your servant, Pope Benedict XVI, who shepherds Your Church. May his message and conduct inspire and direct the faithful, leading him and all those under his guidance to the joy of eternal life. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for all eternity.Amen.
