Prayer For The Sick

O God of compassion and wonder, we lift up our prayers for those who are unwell today. Some face terminal conditions, some are gravely ill, some suffer temporary ailments, and some endure unexplained illnesses, but each one longs for a sense of Your nearness and Your mighty healing hand upon them. We seek relief from pain, we ask for healing of wounds, we wish to banish fear, we hope for recovery that is quick and full, and we pray that this entire journey might be one that deepens their faith and inspires them to walk faithfully with You. We request that solutions be discovered for illnesses that remain enigmatic; we pray for wisdom and understanding to be given to those laboring in research; we urge everyone to take responsible actions in caring for our minds and bodies. We pray for the doctors who diagnose and treat; we pray for families that provide support and comfort. We express gratitude for all the ways you utilize human instruments to work Your wonders of restoration.Amen.
