Prayer In Memory Of The Scourging

Lord Jesus, through the painful scourging that caused You to shed Your precious Blood so abundantly, offered to Your Eternal Father as atonement for our impatience and self-indulgence, how can we continue to allow our anger and self-love to take hold? Help us from this moment forward to strive for greater patience in our tribulations, to foster self-discipline, and to endure in tranquility the wrongs inflicted upon us by others. O Jesus, You are the very essence of love and life for my soul. I discover true peace and genuine joy only in Your love, in serving You, and in embodying Your virtues. I surrender myself to You; guide me as You wish; from now on, let my guiding principle be "All for Jesus!"
