The prayer
O God of all comfort, in your infinite love and mercy, you transform the bleakness of death into the brightness of new life. In our sorrow, grant your compassion to your people. Be our sanctuary and our strength, lifting us from the shadows of grief into the serenity and joy of your presence. We make this request through Christ, our Lord.
