Prayer Of Self-Surrender

Lord, what is your desire for me? What decisions should I make? Where do you wish my life to lead? The only way for me to choose, my Lord, is to entrust myself entirely to you. Just as a potter shapes clay into beautiful forms, just as you crafted a woman from a rib, mold me as you see fit. If it pleases you, shatter the clay and begin anew. Do with me as you choose. It matters not whether I am accepted or rejected, praised or slandered, comforted or abandoned. What truly counts is that your will be fulfilled in my life. Assist me in following your Mother’s example as I say, "Let it be done to me according to your Word." I seek not great sacrifices, Lord, nor burdensome trials, as those would only swell my pride. Instead, guide me to fulfill your will in the small, day-to-day matters, to endure misconceptions and hasty judgments, to navigate confusion and disappointment, and to remain patient and calm with those who test my limits. Let my love for you be expressed through the little things that may not bring me joy.Amen.
