Prayer Of Thanksgiving

Lord, I express my heartfelt gratitude for living in this land. I rejoice in being near the earth You fashioned. It brings me joy to spend much of my days outdoors, basking in the sunlight, which reflects Your justice and illumination. I thank You for the rain and the renewal it brings, a true symbol of Your abundant and everlasting blessings. I am grateful to partner with You in the ongoing work of creation by cultivating the food necessary for life. Through Your mighty power, the seeds I plant begin to grow. You bless the soil with minerals and send the rain and sunshine; the wind, snow, and resilient seeds transform into lush green life. You have bestowed upon humanity immense wisdom and skill to create machines that alleviate the burdens of farming. Almighty Lord, I place myself in Your caring hands, relying on You for all things. If I sow seeds and tend to the seedlings, but You choose not to grant a bountiful harvest, I will find peace in that. You are the Sovereign Lord and the creator of all. You understand what benefits me and what may cause harm. I have complete trust in You without hesitation. I express my gratitude once more for being called to the vocation of farming. I ask You to help me always remember the profound benefits of being close to You, placing total trust and confidence in You, and experiencing the richness of life nurtured by the earth You have created and abundantly blessed. Lord, I am truly thankful to be a farmer.Amen.
