Prayer Of The Elderly

Gracious Lord, as my years advance and my strength wanes, I pray more fervently for Your support, that I may remain faithful to You without causing You sorrow, and may my love for You deepen each day. Grant me the endurance to serve You faithfully until my final hour. Instill in me a deep concern for even the smallest sins that might disrupt our relationship, keeping my heart close to Yours throughout the day and night. If I should pass away before dawn, may I do so filled with joy as I gaze upon Your mesmerizing beauty, forever united with You.Amen.
