Prayer To Be Said Everyday To Obtain The Graces Necessary For Salvation

Eternal Father, Your Son has assured us that You will grant all graces we seek from You in His name. Therefore, in His name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, I ask for the following blessings for myself and for all humanity: First, I ask You to instill in me a fervent faith in everything that the holy Roman Church teaches. Illuminate my understanding so that I may recognize the fleeting nature of worldly possessions and the greatness of the Infinite Goodness that You embody. Help me to recognize the ugliness of my sins, that I may repent and detest them rightly; on the other hand, reveal to me how deserving You are of love because of Your goodness, so that I may love You wholeheartedly. May I come to understand the love You have shown me, that henceforth I may strive to express gratitude for such kindness. Secondly, grant me a steadfast trust in Your mercy to receive forgiveness for my sins, a holy perseverance, and ultimately the glory of paradise, through the merits of Jesus Christ and the intercession of Mary. Thirdly, instill in me a great love for You that detaches my heart from worldly things and myself, so that I may love only You and desire only what brings You glory. Fourthly, I plead for a complete resignation to Your will, accepting with calmness the sorrows, illnesses, disdain, persecutions, spiritual dryness, losses, and every other burden that may come from Your hands. I offer myself entirely to You, that You may do with me, and all I possess, as You wish; grant me only the light and strength to fulfill Your will, especially at the hour of my death, assisting me to surrender my life to You with all the love I can muster, united with the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, upon the cross. Fifthly, I implore a deep sorrow for my sins that compels me to grieve for them for as long as I live and to mourn for the offenses I have caused You, the Sovereign Good who deserves infinite love and who has loved me so deeply. Sixthly, bestow upon me the spirit of genuine humility and meekness, that I may accept with peace and even joy all the scorn, ingratitude, and mistreatment that I encounter. Concurrently, grant me perfect charity, enabling me to wish well to those who have wronged me and to do good when possible, even if simply through prayer for those who have caused me harm. Seventhly, I ask You to instill in me a love for the virtue of holy mortification, through which I may discipline my unruly senses and temper my self-love; at the same time, I request holy purity of body and the grace to resist all temptations by always seeking refuge in You and Your most Holy Mother. Grant me the grace to faithfully obey my spiritual director and all my superiors in everything. Endow me with a sincere intention, that in all my desires and actions, I may seek solely Your glory and please You alone. Give me steadfast trust in the Passion of Jesus Christ and in the intercession of Mary Immaculate. Fostering within me a profound love for the most Adorable Sacrament of the Altar and a tender devotion to Your Holy Mother, I pray, above all else, for holy perseverance and the grace to always pray for it, especially during times of temptation and at the hour of death. Finally, I entrust to You the holy souls in Purgatory, my relatives, and benefactors; especially those who may hate me or have wronged me. I implore You to reward them kindly for any evil they have done or intend to do against me. I also commend to You all infidels, heretics, and all sinners; grant them enlightenment and strength to free themselves from sin. O most loving God, reveal Yourself and inspire love among all, particularly those who have been the most ungrateful to You, so that by Your goodness I may eventually celebrate Your mercies in paradise; for my hope relies on the merits of Your Blood and the patronage of Mary. O Mary, Mother of God, pray to Jesus for me! So I hope; so may it be!
