Prayer To Imitate The Suffering Christ

O Jesus, you have invited me to endure suffering just as you endured for my sake, providing me a model to emulate. When faced with insults, you did not retaliate. When treated unjustly, you refrained from threats and placed your trust in the one who judges rightly. Through your wounds, we gain healing. Grant me the grace to follow your example in my own trials. May my struggles help me to renounce sin, so that I may live no longer by the desires of the wicked but in accordance with the Father's will. Since you have personally experienced suffering and temptation, I trust that you are capable of supporting all who are in need during their afflictions. I surrender myself to you and the Father, my Creator, with the assurance that you will always be there for me.Amen.
