Prayer To Jesus Crucified

O God, you are the source of my affection, not out of a desire for eternal bliss in heaven, nor from a fear of the unending torment faced by those who do not love you. For me and others like me, you bore the ignoble cross, you endured the nails and the spear. A crown of thorns pierced your holy head, and from every part of your body flowed blood and sweat. Such was, is, and will always be your love for me. In turn, my love for you remains steadfast and eternal.Amen.
