Prayer To Obtain The Grace Of Being Constant In Prayer

O Lord of my spirit, I place my trust in Your goodness, knowing that You have forgiven all my wrongdoings against You, and that I am presently in a state of grace. I express my heartfelt gratitude for this, and I desire to thank You for all eternity. I acknowledge my shortcomings, as I have often turned away from You during times of temptation, neglecting to seek Your holy perseverance. For the days ahead, I firmly commit to always turning to You, especially when I find myself at risk of offending You once more. I shall continually seek refuge in Your mercy, calling on the most sacred names of Jesus and Mary, believing fully that when I pray, You will certainly grant me the strength that I lack within myself to resist my foes. This is my firm resolve and commitment. Yet, I ask, O my God, what good will these intentions and promises do me, if You do not support me with Your grace to bring them to fruition; that is, to seek Your assistance in all trials? Ah, Eternal Father! Please aid me, for the love of Jesus Christ; and let me never forget to turn to You whenever I face temptation. I know You are always there to help me when I reach out to You; but I worry that I might neglect to do so, and that my carelessness could lead to my downfall, which is losing Your grace, the greatest misfortune that could befall me. Ah, through the merits of Jesus Christ, give me the grace to pray to You; but grant me such an outpouring of grace that I may pray unceasingly, and pray as I truly ought! O my Mother Mary, whenever I have turned to you, you have brought me the assistance that has kept me from stumbling! Now I come to ask you for an even greater grace, namely, to always recommend myself to your Son and to you in all my needs. My Queen, you receive all that you desire from God out of the love you have for Jesus Christ; please obtain for me now this grace which I earnestly seek, (State your intention here...) to pray without ceasing, and never stop praying until the day I die.Amen.
