Prayer To Our Lady Of Guadalupe By Pope John-Paul Ii In Mexico, January, 1979.
O Immaculate Virgin, Mother of the True God and Mother of the Church, you who reveal your mercy and compassion from this sacred place to all who seek your protection, please hear our prayers offered to you with sincere faith, and bring them before your Son Jesus, our only Redeemer. Mother of Mercy, Teacher of quiet and humble sacrifice, to you who graciously come to assist us sinners, we dedicate our entire being and our deepest love this day. We also commit to you our lives, our labors, our joys, our weaknesses, and our sorrows. Bestow peace, justice, and prosperity upon our nations; for we entrust all we possess and all we are to you, our Lady and Mother. We desire to belong entirely to you and walk with you in unwavering fidelity to Jesus Christ in His Church; hold us always in your loving embrace. Virgin of Guadalupe, Mother of the Americas, we implore you for all Bishops, that they may guide the faithful along paths of vibrant Christian living, characterized by love and humble service to God and others. Look upon this great harvest and intercede with the Lord, instilling a desire for holiness in the entire people of God, and granting an abundance of vocations for priests and religious, firm in faith and ardent heralds of God's mysteries. Bless our homes with the grace to cherish and honor life from its conception, with the same love with which you bore the Son of God in your womb. Blessed Virgin Mary, safeguard our families, ensuring they remain united, and bless the upbringing of our children. Our hope, look upon us with mercy, teach us to constantly turn to Jesus and, if we stumble, help us to rise again and return to Him through the confession of our faults and sins in the Sacrament of Penance, which brings peace to our souls. We implore you to instill in us a profound love for all the holy Sacraments, which serve as the signs your Son has left for us on earth. Thus, Most Holy Mother, with God's peace in our hearts, freed from all malice and hatred, we will be able to share true joy and authentic peace, which we receive from your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.Amen.
