Prayer To Saint Joseph Before Mass

O Blessed Joseph, joyful companion, you were honored to not only witness and hear God, whom many kings wished to behold but could not, and to hear but did not; you also cradled Him in your arms, embraced Him tenderly, clothed Him, and safeguarded Him with love. V Pray for us, O Blessed Joseph. R That we may become worthy of the promises of Christ. O God, who has bestowed upon us the dignity of a royal priesthood, we humbly ask that, just as Blessed Joseph was deemed worthy to touch Your only Son with his hands and hold Him in his arms, we too may be found worthy, through purity of heart and integrity of conduct, to serve at Your holy altar. We pray that today, with heartfelt devotion, we may partake of the Sacred Body and Blood of Your Only-begotten Son, and may we in the future be deemed worthy to receive eternal rewards. Through the same Christ our Lord.Amen.
