Prayer To St. Thomas Aquinas After Holy Communion

I express my gratitude to You, O holy Lord, Father Almighty, Eternal God, for feeding me, a sinful and unworthy servant, with the precious Body and Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. I have no merits nor any worth to claim before You. Yet, I beseech You, let this sacred Communion not lead to my judgment or condemnation, but instead grant me forgiveness and salvation. May it cleanse me of all my vices and eradicate my wrongful desires. Help it to cultivate within me greater charity, patience, humility, and obedience. Protect me from all foes, both seen and unseen. May it quell all the negative inclinations of my mind and body, and guide me directly to You, my one true God, that I may eagerly anticipate You as the ultimate aim of all my efforts. Lead me, I implore You, to that indescribable celebration, when You, along with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, will be to me and to all the Saints, the fulfillment of all things, the culmination of hope, everlasting joy, and enduring happiness: through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.
