Prayer To The Coming Saviour

Lord Jesus, please rescue me from my wrongdoings. Come, shield me from all harm and guide me towards salvation. Come! Wisdom from the Most High God, who directs creation with strength and compassion: help me to follow the way of understanding! Come! Leader of ancient Israel, dispenser of the Law given to Moses upon Sinai: deliver me with Your powerful hand! Come! Bud from the root of Jesse, emblem of God's affection for His people: deliver me swiftly! Come! Key of David, who opens the doors to God's everlasting Kingdom: release those held in darkness! Come, Emmanuel, God's presence with us, our Sovereign, our Judge: save us, O Lord, our Deity! Come, Sovereign of all nations, foundation of the Church's unity and faith: redeem all humanity, Your own creation! Come, Shining Dawn, brilliance of eternal light, Sun of Justice: illuminate those who dwell in the shadows of death! Come, Lord Jesus, do not hesitate; renew the strength of Your people who rely on Your love. Through Your coming, bring us into the joy of Your Kingdom, where You live and reign alongside the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever.Amen.
