Prayers Between Ascension And Pentecost

Father: God rises with joyful acclaim, Alleluia. Family: The Lord, with the sound of trumpets, Alleluia. Father: Let us pray. O glorious King, Lord of hosts, you have ascended today in triumph above all the heavens. Do not leave us as orphans, but send upon us the Fulfillment of the Father's promise, the Spirit of Truth. Family: Alleluia. Father: Only-begotten Son of God, you have vanquished death, and have ascended from earth to heaven! As the Son of Man seated in splendor on Your throne and acclaimed by all the angelic beings, grant us, who with joyful faith, celebrate Your Ascension to the Father, freedom from the bonds of sin that bind us to worldly desires. Third Mystery Jesus is guided by the Spirit into the wilderness. Meditation: Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness for forty days, being tempted by the devil during that time [Lk. 4:11]. Meditation: Suddenly a sound arose from heaven, as of a mighty wind blowing, and it filled the entire place where they were gathered. Fifth Mystery The Holy Spirit dwelling in the just. Meditation: Or do you not realize that your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit who resides within you? Do not quench the Spirit.
