Psalm 149

Sing a fresh song to the Lord, praising Him in the gathering of the saints. Let Israel find joy in their Creator, and let the children of Zion rejoice in their King. Let them exalt His name with dance, and offer melodies with timbrel and harp, for the Lord’s grace rests on His people, and He lifts the humble to triumph. Let the faithful proclaim His radiance, rejoicing even as they lie in bed, with God’s praise on their lips; and ready are their swords in hand, prepared to bring justice to the nations, executing punishment on the peoples, binding their rulers in chains and their nobles in iron shackles, to fulfill the decree that has been set forth: this is the glory destined for all His faithful ones.
