Beloved St. Francis, you showed profound love for the humanity of Christ. Your heart overflowed with gratitude to God for embracing our human condition. You recognized the beauty and goodness present in every creature — in the melodious birds, the fish that inhabit our waters, and all that exists in creation. Inspire us to reflect your respect for life in all its forms. Humble servant of God, assist us in encouraging others to recognize the value of every living, unborn child safe within its mother's womb. May all people be granted the grace to appreciate that these delicate, emerging lives possess the right to exist, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness.
