In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Compassion During the Plague In 1591, when a deadly plague struck Rome, Aloysius showed remarkable courage by volunteering to care for the sick. His selflessness and love for those in need embodied the essence of Christ-like charity. Aloysius's actions serve as a poignant reminder of our call to serve others, especially in times of crisis. O St. Aloysius, martyr of charity, teach us to embrace the call to serve those who suffer. Help us to act with compassion and bravery in the face of adversity, following your example of love and sacrifice. I ask for your intercession to instill greater compassion in my heart.
