In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The City of God In your monumental work 'The City of God,' you portrayed the tension between the earthly and the heavenly, emphasizing our ultimate citizenship in God’s kingdom. This insight encourages us to focus on our eternal destination rather than transient worldly concerns. You teach us the importance of living for God amidst a changing world. O St. Augustine, help us to set our hearts on the things above, reminding us of our true home in heaven. May we live our lives with a sense of purpose and hope, focusing on what truly matters. Strengthen us to be witnesses of God’s kingdom here on earth. St. Augustine, intercede for my intention in this novena.
