In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Embracing Martyrdom Your acceptance of martyrdom for Christ not only sealed your fate but defined your legacy as a model of faith. Tradition holds that your sacrifice speaks volumes about the lengths to which one might go for belief. This willingness to embrace martyrdom inspires the faithful to consider what sacrifices they might be called to make for their own beliefs. O blessed St. Barbara, who embraced martyrdom with unwavering conviction, guide us in our own journeys of faith. Help us to embrace our personal sacrifices as a means to grow closer to Christ. May we always seek to honor Him above all. Amen. Through your intercession, help me to understand the sacrifices required of me.
