St. Benedict Novena - Day 1

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Seeking Solitude in Subiaco St. Benedict sought a life of deep contemplation away from the distractions of Rome, retreating to a cave near Subiaco. This decision reflected his profound yearning for a relationship with God, allowing him to dedicate time to prayer and reflection. His choice reminds us of the importance of seeking quiet moments to cultivate our spiritual lives amidst the noise of the world. O St. Benedict, allow us the grace to seek solitude as you did, within our own hearts and lives. Help us to carve out moments of peace so that we may grow closer to God through prayer and reflection. Guide us in our struggles to withdraw from distractions and focus our eyes on divine truth. May your example inspire us to embrace silence for spiritual growth.
