St. Benedict Novena - Day 4

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Power of the Cross Amidst the trials and dangers of his ministry, St. Benedict faced attempts on his life from jealous monks; in one account, a poisoned cup shattered at his blessing. This moment exemplifies his faith in God's protection and the power of the sign of the Cross. His unwavering trust invites us to remember that our faith can shield us from harm. O St. Benedict, shield us with your faith, that we, too, may trust in God’s protection against the dangers that surround us. Teach us to make the sign of the Cross with conviction, embracing the true power it holds. May we always find refuge in prayer and remember your steadfastness in life's trials. Guide us to lean on our faith whenever we face adversity. May I place my trust in God's protection during my own trials.
