In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Compassion for the Downtrodden St. Brigid's life reflected a deep compassion for the marginalized, a trait that grew from her experiences and upbringing. Raised in a household that merged pagan and Christian traditions, her heart was especially attuned to the needs of the downtrodden. Through her acts of charity and kindness, she converted many and galvanized support for those whom society had overlooked. O St. Brigid, renowned for your love of the marginalized, intercede for us that we may also recognize Christ's face in the poor and the suffering. Teach us to act with compassion and generosity, following your example of service to others. Help us to extend our hands and hearts to those in need, just as you did. Through your intercession, may we grow in our commitment to serve the underserved in our communities.
