In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Defense Against Arianism During a challenging period marked by the rise of Arianism, St. Cyril remained a steadfast defender of the Nicene Creed. He used his theological expertise to combat heretical teachings and to uphold the truth about the divinity of Christ. His courageous stand in defense of orthodox beliefs reminds us of the importance of fidelity in our own faith journeys, especially when faced with confusion or dissent. O St. Cyril, valiant defender of the faith, grant us the courage to stand firm in our beliefs. Help us to discern truth from falsehood in our own lives, and strengthen our resolve to support the teachings of the Church. May your example inspire us to engage lovingly and confidently in discussions about faith, always pointing others to Christ's truth. May we be emboldened to defend our faith as you did, St. Cyril.
