This self-giving nature inspires us to abandon our own fears and comforts for the sake of others. O St. Damien, your life was a testament to selfless sacrifice and love. Assist us in embracing the spirit of sacrifice in our daily lives, allowing us to put others before ourselves. May we learn to take up our own crosses willingly, reflecting your dedication to those in need. Through your intercession, may I find the strength to sacrifice for others as you did.
